Summertime in New Orleans
A good friend came to visit. A friend so special to so many of us. She is one who was there for so many of our births and after births. One who is missed.
We all gathered with our lil’ ones and played, chatted, ate, and drank. Thanks everyone for such a special evening! Thanks Madrona for being that special someone!

and we ended with this……can we have had a sweeter evening?
Thanks to our friends at Normal Bar we had a great Paddy’s Day celebration. Our friend Amanda did some fiddlin’ there was dancing, Irish food, a whole lot of dancing, and several orders of boiled peanuts!

Maypop turned 3 on January 12 and she wanted a wild rumpus. We had the party at our favorite places…..Sweet Olive Farm. Thank you Kat and Susan for letting us share this lovely day with y’all!
Let the Wild Rumpus Start! 1-2-3-4!

this boy, the Big Asher is Maypops hearth throb. He may be 9 but man she loves this kid!

Athens knows how to throw a pary! Happy birthday Sage and cheers to a party-filled weekend!

Yesterday we stopped by ATHICA , Athens Institute for Contemporary Art, to say hello to our friend Hope. She showed us around and let us view the Paul Pfeiffer piece. The consensus was that modern art is fun and that the Paul Pfeiffer projection makes Nina look like a movie star.

We have been excited for the new FRIDA + DIEGO exhibition at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta. Today we went and had a great day with friends, aunts, and Art.
Maypop is at a great age right now to talk about art and artists. I think Frida Kahlo is such a perfect artist to begin with. Her work tells so many stories and is so recognizable to a young child’s eye.
Tonight at bed time she asked me why Frida painted so many pictures of herself. That made me smile.
